To the editor:

Dr. Henry Miller, formerly of the FDA, writes that failure to vaccinate
significant numbers of children is "America's dirty little secret". In
fact, America's dirty little secret is its failure to acknowledge and
appropriately study the many vaccine-associated adverse reactions
reported to VAERS (The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System). If Dr.
Miller really cared about protecting the children, he would direct his
ire at those who push the vaccination of healthy children with vaccines
of unknown safety, rather than the loving parents who question their
use.

David Kessler, former commissioner of the FDA, reported to JAMA that one
study showed that only 1% of serious adverse drug reactions are reported
to the FDA. A vaccine manufacturer testified to the IOM that it was
their experience that passive reporting, which is what VAERS is, results
in 50-fold under-reporting (a 2% reporting rate).¹ Others have noted
that at best 10% are reported.

Even taking the more conservative 10% rate, according to my research,
that would mean at least 880 infants may have died from a
vaccine-associated reaction in 1998 alone, including 340 BY THE DAY
FOLLOWING VACCINATION².

Coincidence, as the "experts" so blithely claim? Only properly designed
research, starting with longitudinal, prospective studies using "never
vaccinated" children as controls, will ever determine the truth.

    "Thimerosal " (ethyl mercury) is one of the most toxic compounds I know of," said Dr Boyd Haley, chair of the Chemistry Department at the University of Kentucky.   "I can't think of anything that I know of that is more lethal."

    Thimerosal has been used as a preservative in vaccines injected into children since 1928.  Valeri Williams of News 8, WFFA-TV, Dallas has unearthed evidence that government regulators and some pharmaceutical companies were aware of the danger to vaccinated children but failed to share their information with the public.

    By the time they are two, American children have typically received 200 micrograms of mercury, only about enough to fit on the head of a pin, but enough, when dissolved in 23 gallons of water, to make it unsafe for an adult to drink according to  Environmental Protection Agency standards.

    Before 1990, 1 of 10,000 children was diagnosed as autistic.  As the number of mandatory vaccines was increased, the incidence rose by 4,000% to 1 out of every 250 children.

   The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) did a study two years ago that determined 3-month old babies with just 63 micrograms of mercury were 2 1/2 times more likely to become autistic.  This study is stamped "Confidential" and "Do not copy or release."  The official explanation is that this was because the report was just a "draft"  A later study CDC made public was quite different.  It used different data that lowered the rate of autism.

    After viewing both reports, Dr Sidney Baker, who treats autistic children, commented:  "I can't imagine that smart people could possibly have re-arranged the data the way they were done, and represented the data the way they were done, without doing it on purpose and with the express purpose, as you (Williams) say, of a cover-up,"

    Here are two of the milder comments from the impassioned wind-up of WFFA's presentation of its findings: A. "It makes clear how the criminals at the CDC, NIH and FDA do the bidding of the drug and chemical industries. B. It makes VERY clear, the fact that no group of professionals, MDs included, can be trusted - the actions of ANY special interest group having effects on the public and using public monies must be monitored and no one with a vested interest should EVER be allowed to assume a position of authority in such matters."

    "The white collar criminals at the CDC receive their directions from the vaccine manufacturers. There is absolutely no other explanation for their actions. Any decent, law abiding, conscientious person in their right mind who even SUSPECTED that infants and children were being endangered by ANYTHING would SOUND OFF WITH A SIGNAL SO LOUD THAT IT WOULD BE HEARD AROUND THE WORLD!!! "

COMMENT: The government (i.e. taxpayers), not the vaccine manufacturers, is liable for compensating those with vaccine injuries
